Matthew gets mega bonus points for this Valentine's Day!! Even though the holiday fell on a Saturday, Matthew told me were were going on our date Wednesday night. He arranged a babysitter and planned everything but wouldn't tell me where we were going. As we drove closer to where we were eating dinner I figured it out! We happened to get engaged on February, 11th at the Roof restaurant in downtown Salt Lake. Wednesday night was the 11th and we were going to the exact spot were we got engaged 9 years ago! So sweet of him to remember that! It definitely made the night so much for fun to remember our last time we ate there.

On Valentine's Day Saturday, we decided to make roll out sugar cookies. I make them about once a year and they are the best sugar cookies ever. The kids helped me this year and absolutely loved the process. They were really good at cutting out shapes and putting them on the cookie sheets. Then we decorated them and decided to deliver them to grandparents.
Everyone helped frost and decorate cookies.
First we delivered to Grandma Black. It was such a nice visit! She fed us a wonderful Valentine-themed lunch and the kids played with vintage blocks and trucks that she has kept.
Then we stopped by Matthew grandparents. We helped them with a huge puzzle they were working on. Austin loves puzzles and was so excited to be helping them and Granny read books to the kids.
It was so nice to spend our day with grandparents that we don't see too often. Especially on Valentine's Day!
