4th of July

This year we went up to Idaho with my whole family to Island Park.  We had a couple cabins that we stayed in and had such a great weekend.  We went 4-wheeling, hiking, played games in the cabins, and played and went rafting on the river.  Jenna was also blessing baby James that Sunday in Rexburg so it was the perfect weekend to plan a family get together.

The first morning we went on a little hike up to Mesa Falls.  So pretty!

 The boys found caterpillars!

Papa took all the grandkids on the the 4-wheelers. Austin loved it!  Kensley not so much.

On the 4th we made s'mores around the campfire and lit up sparklers and glow sticks. It was so much fun and a perfect way to end the day.

And of course we had to do a family picture with everyone.

Sunday we all met back at Jenna's house and went to her church for James' blessing.

A great holiday weekend!

Kayla's Wedding

In June we headed to Texas for Kayla's wedding at the Dallas Temple!  We love Josh and are excited for him to join our family!
They are just the most adorable couple

 Leaving the reception!

It was such a fun event for all of us to get together for!

Half Marathon

After months of training, I ran my first half marathon last month!  It was a lot of work and trying to train with Matthew being so busy with rotations and traveling but I did it and am so happy about it.  I also couldn't have done it without the support of my dad and my sister Kayla-both of which are runners and went on runs with me and totally gave me the support and motivation I needed!
I did the American Fork Canyon Half Marathon and it was great.  Mostly because the first half was entirely down hill in the canyon.  I ran the fastest I ever had and finished with at time of 1 hour 43 minutes.

Matthew and the kids woke up early to come see me at the finish line but I was a little faster than either of us expected and they missed me by a minute!  But I'm glad they were supportive anyway.
